The Golda Awards

Presented by Fabricland and named after the iconic Israeli Prime Minister, The Golda Awards will honour Canadian student leaders who are ambassadors for Israel and on the frontlines against antisemitism – both on campus and online. This year, eighteen high school and university students from across the country will receive awards in honour of their courageous efforts. The event will be hosted in-person at Hart Entertainment's highly anticipated new innovative venue, The Laneway, in midtown Toronto. The Golda Awards will include Israeli BBQ, live art installations, Israeli music, and fun and interactive activities for students and adults of all ages. Most importantly, it will offer a point of pride for parents and community members to celebrate the future leaders of Canada's Jewish community. Hasbara Fellowships Canada

Hasbara Canada trains and empowers student leaders to advocate for the Jewish People and educate their fellow students about Israel as a vital part of our Jewish identity. Our flagship program brings students to Israel for an on-the-ground experience where they learn from Israelis and Palestinians alike. Our educational programs for high school students teach them about Jews as an indigenous people, Zionism, and how to effectively combat antisemitism. In the face of increased antisemitism and anti-Israel discrimination on campus and online, Hasbara Fellows and High School Interns are active in educating other students about Zionism, building coalitions with student clubs, challenging anti-Israel professors, writing influential editorials in student media, and combating BDS and antisemitism on campus.

Our Hosts

As founders of The Magen Group and lifelong entrepreneurs, twin brothers Jian and Page Magen are Toronto's experts in entertainment. While planning and executing thousands of large-scale corporate, private and charity events over the past two decades, the brothers have broadened their business portfolio, remaining involved in each venture they take on.Jian and Page own event venues, a music agency, digital activation businesses, a film production company, video game development and E-sports. Their most vital commitment is humanitarian causes, in and out of the Jewish community. No matter the task at hand, Jian and Page's belief in hard work, integrity, and bringing people together has cemented The Magen Group as a first-class presence in the fabric of Toronto's entrepreneurial arena.
